Neodimium magnet with steel coating and a countersunk hole. The steel coating protects the magnet from cracking and increases significantly its magnetic hold.
The magnet is made of neodymium, an iron/boron/rare earth alloy which is currently the most powerful magnetic alloy. The magnet is coated with an anti-corrosion covering (chrome and nickel alloy) to protect it from impacts and to give an attractive finish.
Polarity : North is on the countersunk hole side.
The countersunk hole allows to screw the magnet on any kind of surface. Using a countersunk head screw it won’t stick out from the magnet. This ensures that the screw-on magnet has a completely flat surface.
