Disc-shaped magnet is a very powerful small, round and flat magnet. The size/power ratio of the magnet is very important. First, because it is a neodymium magnet, and then because the disc-shaped form is adapted to the deployment of the magnetic field in space.
The magnet is made of neodymium, an iron/boron/rare earth alloy which is currently the most powerful magnetic alloy. The magnet is coated with an anti-corrosion covering (chrome and nickel alloy) to protect it from impacts and to give an attractive finish.
Polarity : the north and south poles are located on oposite curved sides.
Neodymium magnets stick to any ferrous surface. Pull strength significantly reduces if the magnet is not in flush contact with ferrous surface.
